The article addresses aspects of inequity and inaccessibility of the COVID-19 vaccine for child care providers. Child care centers around Hawaii have raised concerns over not being given guidance from the state about the vaccine. This is even though the population they work with, babies and toddlers, cannot wear masks or social distance. Child care providers are considered as frontline essential workers, so this issue of a lack of access reflects the state education system’s disorganization.
